Maria has been brilliant. Very constructive and methodical in her teaching. Our daughter Ruby went from a predicted grade C to gaining an A (very close to an A*) in her mock exam. Ruby has her GCSE this week so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a Grade A! That you Maria :-)

Maria is a very responsible tutor who helped me immensely in my IGCSE English language and literature programmes. I have been having lessons with her for a year and she has helped me boost my grade up two levels. I learnt a lot in her lessons, especially from her detailed lesson notes and feedback for my essays. Thank you so much Maria!

Thanks to Maria I got an A in my A-level lit! (and also an 8 in IELTS, after so much reading and essay writing) Maria is incredibly responsible, organized, encouraging, productive, and knowledgeable, which would be really helpful for serial procrastinators and people who lack confidence, like me. I struggled a lot in my A2 level literature due to the difficulty of early modern English, the consequences of China's covid policies, and personal anxiety problems, and I procrastinated so much both in terms of homework and replying to messages that I knew I would be angry if I were in my teacher's position. But Maria never reproached me in any slightest way. She was always so patient and she prepared the classes with 100% seriousness despite my constant procrastination. I'm truly lucky and grateful to have her as my tutor, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help with English and Literature.

Maria was excellent over the year’s worth of lessons I had with her. I was predicted 7s at the start of the year but ended up receiving an 8 and a 9 in English Lit and Lang which i was very pleased about. Her lessons were very well planned out and tailored to my needs specifically. She was absolutely lovely and so engaging so would highly recommend!

My son is a private international student self studying in Hong Kong. He is a non-native English speaker. Maria had trained my son all the techniques required for IGCSE English as First Language . She boosted my son's English level to as good as a native English speaker and he finally got an A* in IGCSE CIE English (First Language). My son couldn't have done it without Maria.

Highly recommended!

Maria is an excellent tutor, I'm very grateful to her. As a homeschooled non-native speaker in English who never studied English literature and never seriously used English as an academic language before, I managed to get an A in my AS literature in English exam after approximately one year of tutorials with Maria, she being my only literature teacher.

Maria is always very patient with me, trying hard to understand my awful oral English and encouraging me to express even the most undeveloped ideas, which hugely promoted my confidence in expressing. She understands my difficulty in essay writing and gives very detailed marking and writing tips to help me improve. She also makes helpful revision notes, sends a lot of extra resources, and controls the pace of our progress very well. Her dedication in teaching had become a motivation for me in the past year: when I get too frustrated and become lazy, I feel super guilty and drag myself back to work because it feels like my teacher is working harder in my studies than me. One of the things I like most about Maria is that she is very passionate in the humanities, her genuine love for the subjects is infectious and inspiring, now I'm growing more fond of literature, and more resolute in going into further studies in the humanities thanks to her.

Maria is a fantastic tutor. She has helped me progress from a grade 5/6 to a grade 8/9 in my English Language and Literature. She always goes beyond what is expected from the typical tutor, and her genuine passion is to see you succeed. If you are willing to put in the hard work and show your dedication, Maria will reciprocate this attitude with speedy marking and prompt replies to any concerns on areas you wish to go over before any exam or lesson. She also always provides excellent resources which are incredibly useful throughout your studies.

I, without a doubt, recommend Maria to anyone who wants to improve and become motivated in the subject they need some additional help in.

Maria is an excellent tutor with expert subject knowledge. She helped me target weaknesses in French and even suggested things to take a look at beyond the curriculum (such as French music). I have really enjoyed my lessons with her as I felt like I've been challenged which has allowed me to progress and achieve a grade 8 in my GCSE mocks. I now enjoy learning French much more and I wish to continue it in the future. I would definitely recommend Maria!

Maria has been preparing my home schooling son for his English Literature O'Level exams for the last 3 months. She has plenty of passion and energy for this subject and has been very flexible with our haphazard schedule. Cant recommend her enough. Thank you Maria.
